Numerical Simulation of Wave-Induced Currents Combined with Parabolic Mild-Slope Equation in Curvilinear Coordinates
Abstract:Researches on breaking-induced currents by waves are summarized firstly in this paper. Then,a combined numerical model in orthogonal curvilinear coordinates is presented to simulate wave-induced current in areas with curved boundary or irregular coastline. The proposed wave-induced current model includes a nearshore current module established through orthogonal curvilinear transformation form of shallow water equations and a wave module based on the curvilinear parabolic approximation wave equation. The wave module actually serves as the driving force to provide the current module with required radiation stresses. The Crank-Nicolson finite difference scheme and the alternating directions implicit method are used to solve the wave and current module, respectively. The established surf zone currents model is validated by two numerical experiments about longshore currents and rip currents in basins with rip channel and breakwater. The numerical results are compared with the measured data and published numerical results. 作者: Author: CUI Lei[1] TONG Fei-fei[2] SHI Feng[3] 作者單位: State Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023, China;School of Civil andResource Engineering, The University of Western Australia, Crawley WA6009, AustraliaSchool of Civil andResource Engineering, The University of Western Australia, Crawley WA6009, AustraliaState Key Laboratory of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116023, China 期 刊: 中國(guó)海洋工程(英文版) ISTICEISCI Journal: China Ocean Engineering 年,卷(期): 2011, 25(3) 分類(lèi)號(hào): U664.33 Keywords: wave-induced current curvilinear coordinates mild-slope equation shallow water equations radiation stress 機(jī)標(biāo)分類(lèi)號(hào): X13 O24 機(jī)標(biāo)關(guān)鍵詞: Curvilinear Coordinates numerical results currents wave finite difference scheme combined numerical model shallow water equations curvilinear coordinates numerical experiments the driving force implicit method transformation measured data surf zone required form of rip based two 基金項(xiàng)目: Numerical Simulation of Wave-Induced Currents Combined with Parabolic Mild-Slope Equation in Curvilinear Coordinates[期刊論文] 中國(guó)海洋工程(英文版) --2011, 25(3)Researches on breaking-induced currents by waves are summarized firstly in this paper. Then,a combined numerical model in orthogonal curvilinear coordinates is presented to simulate wave-induced current...【Numerical Simulation of Wave-Induced】相關(guān)文章:
